Manitoba Hydro Needs For and Alternatives To Review (NFAT) of Manitoba Hydro's Preferred Development Plan

 

Participation by the Public

The public is encouraged to participate in The Needs For And Alternatives to (NFAT) review of Manitoba Hydro’s Preferred Development Plan.  The Board has two methods by which the public may participate:
  1. As a registered intervener.
  2. As a presenter.

May 14th has been scheduled for the NFAT Panel to hear presentations from the public in Thompson, MB.

Session 1: Wednesday, May 14th, 2014 from 1:30PM to 3:30 PM
Session 2: Wednesday May 14th, 2014 from 5:30PM to 7:30 PM
 
Presenters will be provided 15 minutes to make their presentation to the Panel. The Panel may have questions of you on your presentation.
 
Presenters are not required to appear before the NFAT Panel, you may choose to provide a written submission only.
All presentations should be submitted to the Board by May 7, 2014. Please send your submissions electronically to publicutilities@gov.mb.ca or, if necessary by mail:

Registered Intervener

Those wishing to be registered “Interveners” in the NFAT review must fill out the NFAT Intervener Application Form and Budget and Cost Summary Form.  Those interveners approved by the Board will be allowed to ask formal information requests and may participate in the production and testing of evidence before the Board.  Interveners may also be entitled to costs for their participation in accordance with the Board’s “Rules of Practice and Procedures”.  The Board may determine if an intervener is entitled to cost recovery.

ABOUT US

The Manitoba Public Utilities Board (the Board) is an independent quasi-judicial administrative tribunal operating under the authority of the Manitoba Legislature. While the current Public Utilities Board Act was passed in 1959 the Board has regulated services under other legislation since 1913.
